Saying goodbye to the best there ever was

March 9, 2013

Mariano Rivera will be retiring from baseball and the Yankees at the end of this season, and there’s little to be said about him that hasn’t been said already. So I won’t waste everyone’s time by saying all the stuff we baseball fans already know. I’ll only just give you a few lines taken from his own statement this morning:

I have to thank all my teammates, coaches, owners and managers for that – for making me better. I know that I’ll have to do this again after the season and I will thank everyone; I don’t want to take that time today. I will thank everyone for making me better.

There it is, the greatest ever thanking everyone else for making him better. Class Act. We’ll miss you, Mo.
