A brief remembering of my NOOK

January 26, 2013

Now that I’m in possession of a shiny Nexus 7 tablet, I decided that it was time to formally retire my rooted NOOKcolor. Back when I got it, the NOOK was a pretty cool piece of hardware. Once rooted, it was a darling of the Android community for quite some time. In the end, it served me very well and taught me a lot about how to customize your devices.

But today, I restored my NOOK to it’s original factory settings and installed the most current NOOK firmware direct from Barnes & Noble. It is now the NOOK it was designed to be. I’m not quite sure what I’ll do with it yet, perhaps I can find a good home for it.
