I’m watching the Republican debate right now…
…and I remain rather unimpressed by all of the candidates.
Michele Bachmann is nuts, hands down. She’s a seriously crazy person who just makes up facts as she goes along. I knew this already. No surprise (also, that she wants to paint herself as an expert on Education is frightening).
Newt Gingrich has done almost nothing but complain. It’s boring.
Ron Paul is amusing to me, and he’s the one candidate who actually seems to make a consistent argument. I totally disagree with his argument, but at least he’s got that going for him.
I’m not really sure what Herman Caine is really even talking about sometimes. He’s touted what he’s done in the past, but I haven’t seen much about what he plans to do.
Rick Perry is the consummate Texas politician. Been there, done that. No thanks.
Mitt Romney is one candidate who I could see myself possibly, someday voting for; but it unnerves me that he seems so eager to dodge some of his best accomplishments.
John Huntsman is another, he seems quite rational. He just hasn’t said much so far. I’d be interested to know more about him.
Rick Santorum is so unimpressive that I forgot he was even there until I just saw him again. Wait, who was I talking about?
- The commercial about how we should now start stemming the tide of legal immigrants was a bit jarring.
- I still don’t understand the infatuation with Ronald Reagan.
- I hope President Obama takes these people seriously, even if I can’t. If he doesn’t, he just might lose. And is he ends up losing to someone like Michele Bachmann, we’re in VERY serious trouble…
