Ahhhh! I missed Derek Jeter’s 3,000th hit!

Derek Jeter got his 3,000th major league hit today. It was a home run into the left field bleachers. Now I’ve been a Yankee fan for literally my whole life. I’m no bandwagon fan who jumped on after the Yankees won the World Series (well, technically, the Yankees won the World Series right after I was born in 1978; but, whatever). I stuck with the team all through to 1980’s when they were pretty terrible. I’ll stick with them until the day I die.

So I feel a little bad, as a fan, that I didn’t see Jeter get this hit. It wasn’t because I was at work, or somewhere else where I had no way to watch. In fact, I was here at my parent’s house with multiple televisions at my disposal. Yet I was in the pool swimming when it happened. I had been running, and I worked out, and I forgot the game was on at all this afternoon. Oh well…

That said, can you really blame me? This…
